Latin Spirit - Celebration of the Sounds of Tango and Flamenco - Easter Weekend

Dear friends,

We are pleased to inform you about the upcoming festival of classical and contemporary music Four Winds that will be held over the Easter weekend in Bermagui, NSW. This year’s theme is Latin Spirit – Celebration of the Sounds of Tango and Flamenco.

James Crabb, the festival’s Artistic Director and one of the world’s finest classical accordion players renowned for his interpretation of the compositions of legendary Astor Piazzolla, will perform Tango Nuevo alongside other outstanding musicians on Saturday 15 April in Windsong Pavilion, Bermagui. Earlier this year James Crabb travelled to Argentina to perform as a special guest musician in a series of concerts in a tribute to Astor Piazzolla, the pioneer of Tango Nuevo, marking the 25th Anniversary of his death.

On Sunday 16 April, the internationally-acclaimed baritone José Carbó will perform songs from his CD “My Latin Heart”, which will include tangos by Carlos Gardel, Mariano Mores and Astor Piazzolla.
