Celebrating Mother's Day at Centennial Park

Exploration, wildlife and nature this Mother’s Day weekend in
Centennial Parklands

Rally the family and be immersed in a fun NEW outdoor adventure full of wildlife sightings this Mother’s Day weekend (Saturday 13 May 2017) with Centennial Parklands’ Mother Nature Quest.

Hundreds are expected to join the mission, solving clues and spending quality time with Mother Nature - spotting eels, tawny frogmouths, bats, possums and swans along the way!

Adding to the excitement, kids will also get to finish the day with a crafty activity, making a personal, nature-inspired gift to take home or give to mum for Mother’s Day.

“Kids will love uncovering all the secret hiding places for wildlife in Centennial Park with this great new adventure!” said Christian Eckardt, Team Leader, Education, Centennial Parklands.

“The self-guided trail will take you to places in the Park you might have never seen and the route is entirely stroller friendly, which means the whole family can join in the fun.

“Once you’ve completed the nature trail, you will receive a certificate from a Park Ranger before you make a special arty gift for mum.

“Bring your camera, a picnic and a rug and make a day of it!”

With the Mother Nature Quest, a Plant Sale and plenty of café and restaurant options in the area, Centennial Parklands is the place to be this Mother’s Day weekend.
