Dinner organised by the Australia-Peru Chamber of Commerce

The Consulate General of Peru in Sydney is pleased to inform that the Australia-Peru Chamber of Commerce is organising a dinner with the title:

Dinner 2017: Technology and Innovation in Machu Picchu, at the Queen Victoria Building in Sydney.

This is a Peruvian-Australian collaboration, using the technology "Lidar". The Laser Imaging Detection and Ranging (Lidar) system originated in the 1960s and is now revolutionising the world of archeology.

It consists of the scanning of a vast area to allow the discovery of archaeological remains. It works with pulses of light that penetrate the forest and the vegetation that covers the surface of the earth and allows to have a quite precise idea of the existing topography.

The event will take place on Wednesday, November 1, 2017 at level 1, Queen Victoria Building, 455 George Street, Sydney (local Old Vienna Coffee House) at 6:45 p.m.

The cost of the dinner for APCCI members is $120.00, and $130.00 for non-members. Reservations are to be made through the contact email:

• Mr. Matthew John Kean MP, Minister for Innovation (NSW Government).
• Professor Roland Fletcher, Department of Archeology (University of Sydney).
• Mr. Miguel Palomino de la Gala, Ambassador of Peru in Australia.
