Toruk - Cirque du Soleil touring Australia

Inspired by the biggest film in history – Avatar – the most spectacular circus troupe in the world – Cirque du Soleil – presents Toruk – The First Flight

James Cameron’s 2009 sci-fi creation, Avatar, is the highest grossing movie ever with US$3.6 billion.

Toruk takes places on the same moon as the film, Pandora, with the same blue-skin characters, Na’vi, but the story takes place thousands of years before the events in Avatar

One of the performers is Sydney acrobat Kristi Wade, who has been touring with the show since its first presentation in the USA in 2015.

Wade is an Australian national champion of acrobatic sports and has been the aerial coach of superstar Pink. She says that Cameron was heavily involved in the creation of Toruk, a story that follows three young Na’vi in their quest to save Pandora.

TORUK — THE FIRST FLIGHT: Brisbane Entertainment Centre, October 5-8 & 13-15; Qudos Bank Arena, Sydney, October 19-22 & 27-29; Rod Laver Arena, Melbourne, November 2-5 & 10-12; Adelaide Entertainment Centre, November 16-19
