ETHICA MORNING TEA FOR PERUVIAN ARTISANS

Ethica is pleased to announce Liz Davenport OAM as our keynote speaker at our annual Morning Tea Thursday 23 November at 11am.

Liz is world renown for her use of wool in design and has worked with Queen Sirikit of Thailand on her own woven silk project, “It is my dream to inspire and empower women with artistic talent to create business based on promoting their cultural heritage”, Liz said.

Liz is therefore a perfect fit as our keynote speaker.

Ethica is a social enterprise that specialises in Fair Trade products that are ethically made by women in Peru. These beautiful products are unique, elegant and timeless in design. Many products are made using alpaca wool which is one of the oldest fibers known to mankind.

Ethica has established several groups of women artisans in Peru each specialising in unique hand made products.
With larger fundraising support we can ensure that these women build on their skills so that they can secure a safe, fair and sustainable income well into the future.

Ethica is supporting hundreds of women with a skill and fair income, research has shown that when women have equal access to employment and education their entire communities benefit.
By attending our Morning Tea you are investing in a more just world.

“It is a small miracle that we as consumers can participate in a process that is keeping skills and communities alive”. Emma Watson.
